Cardfoq is a flashcard learning app developed by Joshua Hoffmann. Your privacy is important to us. This policy describes what data the app uses, how it is used, and what rights you have.

What We Do NOT Collect

- No usage analytics
- No crash reports sent to us
- No advertising data
- No third-party tracking
- No account creation required
- No uploads to external servers
What the App Uses (On-Device Only)
Local Data Storage
- Purpose: Store your folders, stacks, flashcards, and learning progress
- Location: Locally on your device (SwiftData)
- Sharing: Never transferred to third parties
iCloud Sync (Optional)
- Purpose: Synchronize your data between your Apple devices
- Control: Can be disabled in app settings
- Location: In your private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit)
- Sharing: Only to your own devices, never to third parties
Photo Library Access (Optional)
- Purpose: Add images to flashcards
- Control: Only upon your request via photo picker
- Location: Images are stored in the app, not modified in your photo library
- Sharing: Never to third parties
Data Storage
All data remains under your control:
- Flashcards are stored locally on your device
- With iCloud sync enabled: additionally in your private iCloud account
- App settings are stored locally
- No data is transferred to external servers
Third-Party Services
Cardfoq uses no third-party services:
- No analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
- No advertising SDKs
- No social media integrations
- No crash reporting services
Your Control
You have full control over your data:
- iCloud Sync: Disable in Cardfoq > Settings > iCloud Sync
- Photo Library: Revoke in iOS Settings > Cardfoq > Photos
- Delete Data: Uninstalling the app removes all local data
- Delete iCloud Data: In iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage
Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data.
If you export stacks (.cardfoq files), you decide who to share them with.
Children's Privacy
Cardfoq does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. The app contains no inappropriate content and is rated 4+.

- Weitergabe: Nur an deine eigenen Geräte, niemals an Dritte
Fotobibliothek-Zugriff (optional)
- Zweck: Bilder zu Karteikarten hinzufügen
- Steuerung: Nur auf deine Anfrage via Foto-Auswahl
- Speicherort: Bilder werden in der App gespeichert, nicht in der Fotobibliothek verändert
- Weitergabe: Niemals an Dritte
Datenspeicherung
Alle Daten verbleiben unter deiner Kontrolle:
- Karteikarten werden lokal auf deinem Gerät gespeichert
- Bei aktivierter iCloud-Sync: zusätzlich in deinem privaten iCloud-Account
- App-Einstellungen werden lokal gespeichert
- Keine Daten werden an externe Server übertragen
Drittanbieter-Dienste
Cardfoq verwendet keine Drittanbieter-Dienste:

Du hast volle Kontrolle über deine Daten:

- Daten löschen: App deinstallieren entfernt alle lokalen Daten
- iCloud-Daten löschen: In iOS Einstellungen > [Dein Name] > iCloud > Speicher verwalten
Datenweitergabe
Wir geben keine Daten an Dritte weiter, da wir keine Daten erheben.
Wenn du Stapel exportierst (.cardfoq-Dateien), entscheidest du selbst, mit wem du diese teilst.
Kinderschutz
Cardfoq erhebt keine persönlichen Daten von niemandem, einschließlich Kindern unter 13 Jahren. Die App enthält keine unangemessenen Inhalte und ist ab 4+ Jahren freigegeben.
